Txoko in North Beach has recently launched Foie Gras Wednesdays. Chef Ian Begg prepares a weekly Foie Gras Prix-Fixe dinner for just $55. The four course menu rotates weekly. Here's a sample menu- First Course: Salt Cured Foie Gras Torchon with Scallop Crudo, Blood Orange, Caramelized Fennel, Pain de Mie; Second Course: Crispy Head Cheese with Pickled Mushrooms, Shaved Foie Gras, Frisee, Mustard Sauce; Main Course: Petit Sale Foie Gras a la Plancha, Beluga Lentils, Green Garlic, Mirepoix, Turnips, Duck Jamon, 4505 Chicharrones; Dessert: Foie Gras Ice Cream with Blandy's 5 Yr Malmsey Madeira.
