He grew up in France, where he made his first mix tape at the age of 12, and he got his first set of tables in 1989 when he moved to the place he now calls home, San Francisco. A pioneer of the San Francisco deep house scene Franky was moved the first time he heard the music in France and began playing house when he rediscovered the music on the B-Sides of the acid jazz labels that were dominating the scene upon his arrival. ***DOWNSTAIRS: Live set by DJ DEEVICE spinning Top 40 hits and old-school hip-hop mashups.
